Deer
The drive through the neighborhood is always eventful. Wildlife is abundant. There are so many deer around, it is unusual not to see one on any given day. I was talking to our neighbor Dawn yesterday afternoon and she expressed that it is like seeing squirrels. They are everywhere! I remember living in town and once or twice a year seeing them out in the fields on a country drive. I remember pulling over to see them and how excited I would get. Now they stand on the side of the road and graze. These images were shot on a drive-by from the road. You can see the side of the gravel road in the image. That is how close we are. They just look up out of curiousity and go back about their business.

Very cool
I dont know how anyone could shoot those sweet looking animals? Im not a hunter and WE DONT NEED to hunt when we have business’s that sell food that is raised and used for human consumption.
I love deer, ever since I saw bambi! Ha!

@Borelfoto - Oh my gosh, Randy, you are so funny! Truth be told, our freezer is full of venison, elk, pheasant, duck, grouse, etc… It’s all we eat. We rarely, if ever, buy our meat from a meat market. I couldn’t hunt, I have to separate myself from that part of the process, but man has hunted animals through all of time. I believe if we didn’t, there would be far too many animals and they would not have enough space to live or food to eat. There are so many around here it is crazy! I too love them, but I am okay with hunters who respect life and shoot to eat.
I guess if you live in the country, that’s how it must be. I couldn’t live like that…was born in San Francisco,California and am a City Slicker. My idea of camping is a Ritz Carlton economy room with room service!!!
Those are great images! I think deer are one of the most beautfiul creatures! My mom and dad see several deer out in the country where they live. One of the deer that came into their yard had a hankerchief around its neck like someone had been trying to raise it. You could actually go up and pet it. Not so great for the deer, as most people would just shoot it, and that is probably what happened, as they didn’t see it again.

@lastoriafoto - The house next door is vacant. You can move in any time! Summer home, vacation property! How cool would that be! You could see all of the deer and squirrels your little heart desires!

@lastoriafoto - I know… that would be so cool! I’d be over there all the time, no wait, we’d be out on the lake every day. Yeah, we could do photoshop out on the pontoon, no wait, the sun…. lotion… arg.. no, we wouldn’t get any work done… no, we could train Alli and Brynn and they could work, YES! there it is, perfect world!
