A.L. Jr. High Wrestling
Yesterday I journied to Albert Lea to shoot Southwest wrestling.
School sports are always a lot of fun. It is fun to see these kids grow up.
I made this collage of some of the most coolest guys I know. I have known most of them for a long time, some since birth, and I know their parents.
I had finished with the team picture of something like 54 people, I was shooting some corny shots of some of the guys in the back, namely, Trevor Rasmussen, then somebody said, “Robin”! and I realized what was going on.
Last year at the end of taking the team picture, I kept shooting some of the guys goofing around… (if you’re the coaches reading this, they were actually practicing) and they did this huge pile up. It was hysterical, until coach Hansen walked back in and yelled at them (sorry Jon), but we were kind of being loud and there were conferences in the gym outside the wrestling room.
This year, coach Hansen realized the tradition we were creating, and let it go for a few seconds. These are some of the goofy shots we got.
Albert Lea wrestling is very tough wrestling. These are some of the guys to look out for!
If you’re a wrestler on another team, be afraid… be very afraid!
