Lee Bagged His Buck!
I know this is a little late, but last Saturday, the 5th, Lee shot this 9 point buck down by Lanesboro.
It is deer hunting season around here and it is common to see trucks parked in fields and hunters dressed in blaze orange walking around.
The kids and I were coming back from Albert Lea on Sunday afternoon and got behind this white truck pulling out of Reinke’s Corner. There was this beautiful big buck in the back. Isaac said, “get closer get closer so I can see”. The truck turned left and we turned right. Later we realized it had been our neighbor Lee we had followed and it was his deer in the back.
He hung it and Brynn and Isaac got to check out this amazing animal up close. Lee said it was the biggest buck he had ever shot. The cool thing about it is the game warden told Lee he had images taken of his buck from this summer. There are cameras set up which are triggered by movement. From all I have been reading, there is a huge population of deer around here. It is good to thin them out and it is even better when it fills your freezer!
